A Bit About Me
Firstly let me introduce myself. My name is Emma Laddiman. I suppose you could call me a typical teenage girl. I love shopping and worry about my hair and make-up most of the time. But there is something about me that not most girls my age have, and that is an urge to race cars.

I never used to like motorsport. The very worst thing I could think of was sitting in the cold wind and rain and watch my brother race karts. But then my father got me more involved with helping out. And I gradually started to enjoy it more.

In 2007 I was asked to Grid Girl for the Formula 3 team Carlin Motorsport. So that gave me another insight to the motorsport world.

But following an ankle operation in July 2007, gridding was all I could do at the time, as my physiotherapist advised me that is wasn't sensible to start racing just yet.

So in November 2007 I had my first test day out at Bruntingthorpe in a Citroen Saxo. Even though I had to take it fairly easy, I enjoyed it so much that I was 100% sure I wanted to race in the junior series SAXMAX.

I passed my ARDS test on the 28th of March 2008 at Thruxton with Alan Blencoe instructing me. This now means that my first race can be at Donington on the 19th of July.

Thank you for reading and feel free to have a look at the rest of my website.
